Key West |Dining, Dancing & Dolphins!

Key West is a popular destination. It’s serene and exhilarating, romantic and adventurous. Home to amazing soft sand beaches, there are top resorts, great eateries, shopping and access to exciting attractions like Dry Tortugas National Park, the Red Barn Theatre, Sunset Pier and Mallory Square. And we’ve only mentioned a few out of the hundreds!

Yet, of all that Key West has to offer residents and visitors, it’s the tropical Savannah climate they love the most. Key West is the southernmost city in the country. Its record low temperature is 41 degrees, set in the coldest month of the year, January, in both 1886 and 1981. Otherwise, Key West boasts Caribbean island temperatures year round.

From May to October is the wet season. There are sporadic tropical downpours that can be followed by intense sun. Though still Florida’s driest city, tropical waves can bring excessive rainfall or heavy rainfall with the occasional hurricane.

November to April is considered the dry season for Key West. You may see rainfall, but days are normally dry and sunny. On average, the city has over 3,000 hours of annual sunshine.

Key West has always been popular for Europeans and North Americans even during its wet season. The essentially warm, stable climate is definitely preferred to the snow covered streets and the heavy coats of winter. People are quick to leave that behind and relax on a stunning Key West beach and watch the sun set across the calmest waters you’re ever going to see.
